Job Introduction
The Role:
We are looking for a driven and dynamic Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in preparing accurate and timely management accounts. In this role, you will be a key support to the Operations team, providing financial and analytical reporting to aid decision-making. You will also be responsible for ensuring full reconciliation of the balance sheet across all associated companies.
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week) offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum. The role follows a hybrid working model, with occasional travel to the office as required.
We expect all staff to share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and an enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought by the company.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide insight and actions to improve business performance
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss identifying/investigating variances
- Be actively involved in developing a robust budget and forecasts
- Business partner the operations to identify financial opportunities and mitigate risks
- Attend client meetings to support the business negotiations
- Maintain balance sheet control accounts, including prepayments and accruals
- Review business processes in the unit to support financial compliance
- Oversee monthly billing process supporting operations raising accurate invoices
- Reconcile data between operating systems and SAP financial systems
- Assist with annual audit and year-end close
- Adhoc reporting requirements required by internal management

Required Skills and Experience
- A full UK driving license
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Minimum of three year’s practical experience
- Experience in reconciling multiple systems
- Actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification
- Effective time management and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team and independently
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Flexible and adaptable to take on a variety of tasks
