The role:
As a Baker in one of our school kitchens, you will be the heart of our fresh baking operation, bringing delicious, freshly baked goods and nutritious treats to life for students and staff alike. We’re looking for someone with great baking skills, attention to detail, and the drive to make our school's freshly baked items the absolute best in the area.
Your responsibilities will include:
Baking & Pastry Execution: Preparing a wide range of baked goods following our provided recipes and guidelines.
Safety Champion: Ensuring strict compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety standards.
Stock & Prep Management: Managing your ingredients, minimising waste, and ensuring your prep station is clean and well-organised.
Service with a Smile: Helping out during service periods with a friendly and welcoming attitude for the students and staff.
About you:
We need someone who shares our deep passion for great food and loves bringing fresh baking to our schools, along with:
Experience in baking or pastry work using fresh ingredients, with solid craft baking skills (education catering experience is a plus!).
Strong working knowledge of health and safety practices and a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (we also offer further training!).
Self-motivation, great time management, and a pride in every item you produce.
